Profiles

Profiles allow you to save your search settings to a file and reload them as needed. All existing profile files are listed in the profile list. When AllDup starts, the default AllDup profile is always loaded. When AllDup exits, all settings of the main window are saved in the default profile.

Create new profile

When you create a new profile, all settings of the main window, such as source folder and search method, are saved in the profile.

Context menu

Right-clicking on a profile displays a menu with which you can load, save, rename, or delete the profile.
  • Load profile
You can load a profile by double-clicking it, or by right-clicking on the profile and selecting the Load profile command. The name of the loaded profile is then displayed in the window's title bar.
  • Save profile
Right-click on the profile and select the Save profile command to save the current search settings. If you want to save the File Manager settings in a profile, you must first load the profile and then use the File Manager.
  • Rename profile
Right-click on the profile and select the Rename profile command.
  • Delete profile
Right-click on the profile and select the Delete profile command.

Options

  • Do not import source folders when loading a profile
This option prevents the folders in the source folder list from being replaced by the source folders in the profile.
