Copy Mode 'Custom'

The Custom copy mode offers the following options:

• Save all source files in destination folder without folder structure
• Save source file as ZIP file in destination

Save all source files in destination folder without folder structure

This option saves all source files directly in the destination folder without their original folder structure.
Example: The file C:\Data\Office\info.txt is saved in the destination folder D:\Backup and not in the subfolder D:\Backup\Office.

Save source file as ZIP file in destination

This option saves the source files as compressed ZIP files in the destination folder.
Example: The source file Data.doc is saved as Data.doc.zip in the destination.

Compression Level

Specify how strongly the files should be compressed. This affects processing time and the final size of the ZIP file. The following levels are available:

• None
• Fast
• Normal (Default)
• Maximum

The higher the compression level, the longer it takes to create the ZIP file — but the file will be smaller. With the None setting, data is stored in the ZIP file without compression.

Compression Method

Available file compression methods:

• Deflate
• Deflate64
• BWT
• LZMA

The compression methods Deflate64, BWT, and LZMA are available starting with the AllSync Professional Edition.

Encryption

Protect your ZIP files with a password. The following encryption methods are available:

• ZIP 2.0
• AES 256-bit

The AES encryption method is recommended as it offers significantly higher security than the classic ZIP 2.0 method. The AES 256-bit method is available starting with the AllSync Business Edition.
